If you have been reading our Blogs you are aware that we are developing the ChillSpill adaptive eating aid for individuals with tremors and other motor control problems.

Chill Spill Logo

ChillSpill is an adaptive eating aid that catches any food that spills from the diner’s fork or spoon and retains it in the tray section or routes it back into the plate or bowl. The expanded side sections also provide a surface for the diner to slide their hand on during plate to mouth movement which can further reduce tremor activity.

Also of importance is by using the ChillSpill food will not be spilled on the table, the floor or the user’s clothing. In this way nutritional intake may be improved by using the ChillSpill.

The ChillSpill will be available by the end of March and will cost @ $49. This is comparable to the cost of a good set of weighted utensils. Research has found that weighted utensils are not effective in reducing tremors or improving function for individuals with tremors at mealtime. Please visit a previous Blog for more information. Of course weighted utensils can be used in conjunction with the ChillSpill.

We will be donating 50% of customer direct net revenues to either the American Parkinson Disease Association or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
We will also be donating a portion of sales made through distributors.
Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson’s when he was 29 years old in 1991.
He continued with his successful acting career as well as founding his foundation. The foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s and supports the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s Disease. Thanks for visiting today and we invite you to contact us at your convenience. update: we just launched www.chillspill.net where you can find more information about this new adaptive eating aid.
