American Parkinson Disease Association

Update: 3-24 ….. we have launched a new website at: www.chillspill.net with more information about the Chillspill. Parkinson’s disease affects the basal ganglia area of the brain and results in difficulty with movement. Tremor activity of the hands is also often present.
There are over 90,000 cases of Parkinson’s disease that are diagnosed each year. It is anticipated that there will be over 1.2 million individuals living with Parkinson’s disease by 2030.
The American Parkinson Disease Association provides services, educational programs and research toward finding a cure.

If you have been reading our blogs you know that we are developing an assistive eating aid that will enable individuals with Parkinson’s disease who have significant tremor activity to eat meals with more independence and less spilling of food from the fork or spoon. This will help with preserving dignity and potentially increase nutritional intake.

ChillSpill provides a surface that will capture and spilled food from the fork or spoon during plate to mouth movements. The food can then be rescooped thus helping to maintain nutritional status as food will not be lost to the table, the floor or the diner’s clothing. Dignity is also maintained as the need for clothing protectors is eliminated.
ChillSpill is in the final stages of production and should be available by the end of March 2024.
We are donating half of all net revenue from customer direct sales of the ChillSpill through our website: www.eatzii.com to either the APDA or the Michael J. Fox foundation. We will also be contributing a percentage of sales through distributors to these organizations.
In this way your purchase of a ChillSpill will help fund the efforts of these organizations. We wish these organizations success in finding cures and we are happy to at least in a small way advance these efforts. Thanks for visiting today and we invite you to contact us at your convenience.
